Myong Lee has spent most of her life around colleges and is an educator at heart. Prior to her work as a sought-after writing tutor for highly capable and homeschooling students, Myong was a Teaching Fellow at Stanford University, a visiting lecturer at San Jose State University, and an assistant professor of German and Interdisciplinary Studies at Drury University where she directed senior honors theses and served as academic advisor to the students in her freshman seminar. She has a BA from UC Berkeley in French and German, MA from Stanford in German Studies (ABD in joint doctoral program in Humanities and German), and a graduate certificate in Independent Educational Consulting from UC Irvine. She is a former alumni interviewer for Stanford Admissions and loves to help students uncover their best, authentic stories.
Sarah Morgans is a writer and editor based on Bainbridge Island since 2004. She graduated from the University of California, San Diego, and entered the book publishing industry out of college. Today, Sarah specializes in writing histories and biographies for corporate and nonprofit organizations as well as private individuals and families. She applies the skills honed through telling these stories to her work with students—in particular, a practiced ear for how to present a life’s story in a way that will connect to audiences and meet intended goals.Sarah and Myong are teaming up to offer expert guidance and professional editing to students in our college essay workshops.
